Garrison

Knighthood > Buildings > Garrison
Constructing a Garrison will make it possible for you to go to war, and therefore be able to both attack and defend. Therefore consider your options carefully before raising arms. If you have lots of vassals consider expanding your defenses before going to combat. If you have very few vassals, you could quickly get more by seizing them from other players.
The garrison also acts as a vassal reserve for your defensive buildings. Vassals assigned to the Garrison will automatically replace defenders that get seized.
Garrison protects a number of weapons from being pillaged in the same way that Tower protects gold, simply put, 20 times the defensive value of the Garrison.
Weapons protected = 20 x SUM(Vassal power) x [1 + (# of upgrades) x 0.05]
Garrison requires Watchtowers, Wall, and Palisade
Workshop upgrades to the Garrison increase the number of weapons protected from pillage by 5% per upgrade.
NOTE: The Garrison was previously called the Barracks, so any reference to the Barracks should be replaced with Garrison. Garrison once controlled Army Size, that is no longer true. Automatic vassal replacement occurs only for a seize and not for rescues.
[edit] Combat
- You do not need to assign vassals to your Garrison to attack - it is done automatically when you attack.
- Adds the Attack tab (between the Realm and Recruit tabs), as long as you have 4 or more vassals in your realm (not including your serfs/steward).
- You can Raid other players and steal coins from them.
- You can Seize vassals from other players.
- You can Conquer Sovereign players.
- You can Pillage axes, pikes, and/or swords from others.
- Other players can now also do these same four things to you!
