Vassal Market
From HiveWiki
You can buy and sell vassals, which is another way of increasing your army. On the Marketplace tab drop down menu you will see 'Buy vassals'. Here you will find all the vassals currently for sale. Be careful however, since you may find that if you buy an active player he may rebel, or if you are in peace mode simply abandon you immediately after purchase. Regrettably this is a tactic that is being used by some small groups of players to get more gold. To sell one of your own vassals, go to his/her page and hit the sell button. It will cost you 1% of the asking price to list your vassal, and the listing lasts for 3 days.
[edit] Tips on Buying
Well priced vassals sell very quickly. The high prices you see on the market are there because they are overpriced, and people are NOT buying them. Therefore, do not use them as a guide for your own buying and selling
Generally speaking 500x power is a good price for a vassal. At times, it may go as high as 1000x power, but you don't get much value at that point. When buying a vassal, you should take into consideration whether the vassal has good vassals, compared to a squirrel lord who will lose much of their power very soon. Vassals with powerscores inflated with excess squirrels are not worth as much.
If you are in peace mode, you should NEVER buy a vassal, unless it is an inactive zombie.
Many vassals for sale are recently conquered people, being sold off for a quick buck. Therefore, never buy a vassal that is outside your normal range of power, to avoid the vassal rebelling from you.
Spend time on the market when looking for a purchase. There are many people who spend long hours sitting on the market, just waiting for a cheap vassal to pop up, so that they can scoop it up quickly.
Buying a vassal should be a treat. Never rely upon the buying of vassals as the primary, or a significant, means of expanding your power and building your kingdom. Remember, this is a war game, not a shopping game.

Well priced vassals sell quickly. The high prices you see on the market are there because they are overpriced, and people are NOT buying them. Therefore, do not use them as a guide for your own buying and selling.
If you are looking to quickly sell off many vassals, sell them at 250x their power. They will literally sell in less then 2 minutes. If you have only one or two vassals, sell at up to 500x power. They will take a little longer to sell, but will still sell fairly quickly.
You should only sell up to 1000x power if you are hoping for a "lottery" sale. In other words, you don't really need to sell the vassal, but you're hoping to get lucky that someone will buy. Such a high price for a vassal is scarcely worth the purchase.
All vassals are NOT created equal. Price squirrel lords lower, as they are of less quality. An active vassal is not necessarily worth more because of it's being active. All wise players know that an active vassal is never happy about being sold, and will try to rebel and uprise most of the time.
Sell newly conquered vassals at 250x to 300x power. You want the vassal to sell quickly before it comes online and rebels from you, which they will surely do. Also, a newly conquered vassal throws off the balance of your kingdom, and gives you an overly high TAS. You will be much safer to be rid of him/her.
Do not advertise vassals for sale on the discussion board. It will only earn you poor favor in may people's eyes, and generally doesn't work. If your vassal does not sell, it's because the price is too high, not because you need advertisement.
