Tower

The Tower offers Vassal protection. The vassals hiding in the Tower are hardest to seize.
While assigned to Tower, vassals will not generate gold or produce work, but they are afforded additional protection against seizes in addition to regular defense sector strength.
When you need to protect an important vassal, save him/her in your Tower! This is particularly useful for newly captured vassals whom their former liege may attempt to rescue.
Vassals in the Tower are 2x harder to seize by an attacking Lord.
The tower also protects a small amount of gold that will be used for auto-healing your vassals after an attack. The protected gold is simply put equal to the defensive value of your tower times by 20.
Gold protected = 20 x SUM(Vassal power) x [1 + (# of upgrades) x 0.05]
disclaimer: defensive value of tower does not factor into seizing nor rescue and is ignored from the seizing/rescue equation.
